Paint the Color of Light with Sally Strand in the luminous countryside of the Lot River Valley, southwest France. Sally will provide essential painting instruction as well as personal mentoring. The workshop will be open to painters of all mediums. Demonstrations will be in pastel and watercolor with a focus on capturing beautiful color and light. The relaxed structure of this seven-day artists workshop will include time for both individual critiques and group discussions. Personal mentoring will help you explore ideas and goals for your work. Morning and afternoon painting sessions will allow opportunities for lunch and personal time. Non-painting companions are welcome and there will be much for them to see and do while artists paint.

DOMAINE DU HAUT BARAN is a beautiful old French Country House owned and managed by an American couple, William and Rosalie Haas. It is a two hour drive from Toulouse Airport, featuring bedrooms with modern, private bathrooms, swimming pool and jacuzzi. William, of French descent and fluent in both French and English, provides transportation from the airport and serves as a guide on painting excursions to small villages, medieval castles, vineyards and farms. On alternate days you will paint on and around the grounds of Haut Baran.

INCLUDES: 7 nights accommodations at Haut Baran (double occupancy), 7 continental breakfasts, (including the best croissants ever), 2 lunches the days you paint on the grounds, 3 dinners (wine included) at Haut Baran, workshop tuition, round trip airport transportation to Toulouse (everyone picked up at the same time), arrangements and transportation for painting/tour sites and restaurants, guided tours by William Haas, all taxes and free WiFi, studio and French easel use.
